Well... class 37s, on a tour up Weardale? What's not to like?

Oddly enough plenty of people thought that too. Plenty had been frothing over the potential choice of DRS engines that could be used, so that former engines return to old haunts, or one allocated from nearby Thornaby. In any case, whatever their history, 37038 and 37607 were the two at the head of the train, with 47826 on the rear for the drag back to Darlington. It was early 2010 when this train came through, the Weardale weather being as inclaiment as ever, but some good pictures were still taken of a tour with reputable engines as the vanguard.
