Some events bring people together. This was one such case, long since known as a station pilot for its livery, 69023 has been carrying the emblems of NER and British railways for some time. However, in traffic is was more akin to black.

The J72 returned to work like sinareo of sorts when it visited the Tanfield Railway, a colliery railway hauling now people, rather than coal. It was not quite the shunting yards of the NER or later Eastern region but it was close enough to the source of their work and profit.

Here the engine is seen at the line during their 2010 gala.
