The annual Steam Gala of 2010 lived up to its expectations with a variety of different traction. Resplendent in Darlington LNER Green was D49 Morayshire, No. 246.

Also there was N2, No. 1744, in GNR green, while the NER was represented by NELPG's J72, 69023 Joem. Also the museums J52 No. 1247, was outshopped and displayed in its new coat of GNR green. Meanwhile other space on the appron was taken by World Speed record holder, Mallard and its other LNER cousin Green Arrow.
